Hi, My name is Neil Kilbey,
I believe that being in business for yourself is a philosophically different state of being compared to an employee (that includes directors). It is like the difference between a child, who is concerned about themselves, and an adult who is concerned about the whole family.
It is closer to the way our minds and bodies work in nature rather than the artificial environment in a job. You are more alert, alive and in tune with the world, because you have to respond to real situations not just one element of the business.
This makes you very different from those around you and that means you need different input and feedback.
It also means you have to deal with a lot more information, responsibilities and make more decisions and those decisions will have impacts on multiple areas. This can lead to overwhelm.
I have been inside corportations, got accountancy qualifications, have an MBA from top school, and I have also built businesses from scratch, so I know the difference.
Accountants, MBAs, Consultants tend to have a big business attitude, they do not understand the constraints of smaller businesses.
That is what i am here for to help get you run your business not let it run you.
